Ron Bowman: Background

Role

As Artistic Director for Ovalpeg, Ron oversees the look and feel of all projects adhering to the strictest of industry standards. His proven skills in graphic design and illustration result in exceptional creativity and presentation.

Focus

Ovalpeg is able to leverage Ron's 15 years as a power-user of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. He's a highly skilled, versatile matte painter, texture artist, and illustrator, having been trained in a wide variety of digital and natural media. In addition he creates paintings, sketches, storyboards, presentations, diagrams, web graphics and highly detailed illustrations some of which have won industry awards.

History

Ron has created digital media and communications for the some of the world's most innovative companies including Disney, Apple, Adobe, Cisco, Hitachi, Sun Microsystems, and Canon.

He holds a BFA in Illustration/Animation from San Jose State University, CA. While there, he received comprehensive training in the fundamentals of art from highly skilled and talented illustrators. The list includes Alice Carter, Barron Storey, John Clapp, Courtney Granner, Konrad Dunton, and Sheldon Borenstein.
